Trellis Foundation is pleased to announce more than $1.4 million was awarded in December to continue the Foundation’s commitment to statewide guided pathways initiatives and to expand the Foundation’s support of Opportunity Youth and justice-impacted Texans. The awards included:
- $1,000,000 to the Texas Community College Education Initiative to continue to scale the successful set of core capacities outlined by the research-based essential Guided Pathways practices.
- $300,300 to the Aspen Institute to foster partnerships and support community organizations, workforce training programs, schools, and postsecondary institutions to better leverage state policy and funding to design, launch, and scale positive OY programming.
- $100,000 to the Lone Star Justice Alliance to support JustCareers, a collective impact, earn-and-learn workforce development model providing upskilling training and a livable wage for justice-involved emerging adults (17-24).
