In June 2024, Trellis Foundation and the Alliance for Higher Education in Prison hosted “Higher Education in Texas Prisons: A Collective Conversation & Networking.” This dynamic event brought together members of the Texas higher education in prison (HEP) community to connect, learn, and collaborate. This brief provides background on HEP in our state.
